We're glad you like our house!
Gayle and Henry Christopher, May 09
We've had a few guests stay at our home in Golden Grove since its completion this winter. Everyone seems genuinely happy that they did.
A few of the couples have been Antiguan expatriots taking a couple weeks to revisit their homeland. While other visitors were vacationers
looking for some peace and relaxation on our beloved island. Whatever the motivation, we're happy to have you all!
Keep your inquiries coming, and we hope to hear about many other successful visits in the future.
Food in St John's
Simone Christian, May 09
We found Fabian's in St John's after a full day of sightseeingin the capitol.
We were hungry and tired, and I really wanted Josh to sample more of the food I grew up on.
The chalkboard menu promised a great variety of Caribbean food, so we went in,
got 2 Wadadlis and ordered. Josh got the Bull Foot Soup and I got Curried Chicken. I think
Jamaicans call it Bull Foot Soup--my family always called it Cow Heel. Either way, that's exactly what it is.
After the initial shock, he dug in, saving the actual heel for last. He must have liked it because we went back to Fabian's 3 more times before we left.
Seaforth's Bay
Simone Christian, Feb 09
The very first day at the house Josh and I saw the most amazing thing--just over the hill to the south was an island
poking up out of the sea, and a beach the couldn't have been too far away. We asked Uncle Vernon how to get there and on day 2 we set off
in the direction of the water.
A short three mile hike from the house, we splashed in the gentle surf on our own private beach. We spent about an hour there, then headed back home for lunch. It was so beautiful. I took a few pictures on the way there.
